About our new membership dues: an update
December 2025
As we reflect on our strategic goals for the future of ASCHA, the Board aims to expand opportunities for scholarly development and to invite ASCHA members to become more active in our work. To help facilitate this, we are introducing modest annual membership dues similar to those charged by comparable CAA Affiliated Societies: $35 per year for professionals, and $15 per year for students.
This new annual membership program, now open for registration, will officially replace the member option formerly offered on Memberplanet, effective December 12, 2025. We will fully retire the Memberplanet site after the New Year.
As a member, you will receive discounts on all non-CAA ASCHA-hosted events and are encouraged to contact us to express interest in participating in planning our CAA sessions and other activities. Your membership dues will help cover essential administrative costs for ASCHA to build a secure future where further opportunities for engagement are possible for scholars at any career stage.
Who is required to have a membership?
Effective December 2025, all members of the Board are required to retain a current Professional Membership throughout their tenure.
Effective March 1, 2026, we will require those chairing our CAA sessions or chairing events, panels or sessions on behalf of ASCHA to hold a current Professional or Student membership.
